Bogota

Clifford M Stahl, a long time resident of Bogota, passed away on March 30. Cliff was born on July 31, 1941 to Paul and Ethel Stahl at Christ Hospital in Jersey City. He grew up in North Bergen prior to moving to Bogota in 1968. Cliff was a proud member of I.A.T.S.E. Local 1 for over 50 years. He was employed as a stage hand by CBS in New York prior to his retirement. With CBS, he had so many incredible life experiences. He was at the Ed Sullivan Theatre when The Beatles played, travelled to Greece for the Miss Universe Pageant and attended Super Bowls, space shots and political conventions. Cliff is a former councilman in Bogota and also served on the Shade Tree Commission and Planning Board. Cliff enjoyed fishing in Atlantic Highlands, gardening in the yard and his family. He also enjoyed attending his grandson’s many soccer and baseball games. Cliff was always ready with a tool – ready to hang blinds, change a fixture or help with planting. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Roseann of 54 years, daughter Christina and daughter Barbara Fischkelta, son-in-law Tom and grandsons Thomas and Michael. He is also survived by his sister Paula, four nephews, a niece and countless friends. He is pre-deceased by his sister Dorothy. The family would like to thank the amazing physicians and nurses at Holy Name Hospital for their care during this difficult time. A great thanks to family friend Scott Cooper for being with Cliff when he needed him most.
