Donald W. Bann 88 of Teaneck passed away December 18, 2017. Before retiring he was a brick layer for BAC Local #4, where he served as financial secretary for over 20 years. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s RC Church, Bogota. A World War II and Korean War, Marine Corps Veteran, he was a life member & former Commander of American Legion Post, #117, Bogota; a life member of the Marine Corps League, Gooney Bird Detachment, New Milford; a life member of the Engineers Association of the Marine Corps League; a member of Second Marine Division Association; and a member of the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation. As Commander of Legion Post, #117, he participated for 22 years in The POW/MIA Day of Remembrance, starting in 1986, until he had health problems. Beloved husband of the late Lucille. Devoted father of Peggy Lou Feeney and husband Dave; Debra Schraer and husband Ray; Michael and wife Susan and Donald. Dear brother of the late Evelyn Onello, John and George Bann. Loving grandfather of John, Shawn, Anthony, Melissa, Donna, Joseph and Juliana and also survived by 5 loving great grandchildren. The funeral will leave Petrik Funeral Home, 140 Palisade Avenue, Bogota Wednesday morning at 9 for the funeral Mass at St. Joseph’s RC Church, Bogota at 9:30. Interment George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Visiting Tuesday 4-8pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to Toys for Tots would be appreciated.
