Edward O'Brien

Edward O'Brien 93 of Holly Ridge NC formerly of Ridgefield Park and  Bergenfield NJ passed away on December 23,2020. He was preceeded in death by his beloved wife Patricia of 72 years, his son Richard,  his brother George,  his sister Anne LoBianco and Katherine Cornetto. Edward was a machinist and sheet metal worker for Kurt Versen and Powermate. Edward is a World War 2  Army veteran having served in Europe and was also a life member of Ridgefield Park Hose Co.3 for 60 years during which time he served as Lieutenant, Captain and in 1976 as Chief of the Department.
Edward leaves behind five children,  Patty Ann Brush of Binghamton NY, Kathy Hood of Little Egg Harbor NJ,  Edward O'Brien and his wife Trisha of Hilliard OH, Cindy Sudol and her husband Brian of Holly Ridge NC and James O'Brien and his wife Kirsten of Rockaway NJ. He also leaves behind 18 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Petrik Funeral Home 140 Palisades Ave. Bogota NJ on March 19, 2021 from 5pm -8pm. Interment will be at Laural Grove Cemetery, Totowa NJ on March 20. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Westview Hose Co. 3, Hackensack Ave. Ridgefield Park NJ or the NJ Fireman's Home, 565 Lathrop Ave., Boonton NJ.
