Louis R. Mirabal

Luis Raul Mirabal, 78, of Bogota, NJ passed away peacefully Tuesday, 26 September 2017 at his home.  Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico to Francisco and Providencia Mirabal, he lived most of his life in the South Bronx, NY and northern NJ.

Lou was loved by his wife Linda of 24 years, sons Frank Mirabal, Louis Mirabal, Carlos Mirabal, Charles Parseghian, daughters Jill Blum and Heather Mirabal, and grandchildren Annelise Mirabal and Jax Mirabal, as well as sisters, nephews, nieces and friends.

A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he loved baseball, was a lifelong Yankees fan, and coached little league for many years in Englewood, NJ.  On any given day, you could see him sitting on a bench outside his home with his Sudoku book or watching his favorite show “MONK”.

Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at Petrik Funeral Home on Saturday, September 30, and Sunday, October 1. Lou will be laid to rest in a private ceremony on Monday, October 2.
