Louis A. Sorrentino, Jr. , a long-time resident of Teaneck, was welcomed home to eternal life on March 6, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Jersey City, NJ on November 30, 1920, to Louis and Grace Sorrentino. Louis was a World War II United States Marine Corps veteran. He received his Juris Doctorate from Rutgers University and practiced law in his private practice in Hudson County for over 50 years. An avid outdoorsman and storyteller, he loved any excuse to escape up to the peace and quiet of Jackman, Maine. He is survived by his loving wife, Marie, of 67 years, his four children, Michael, Anne and her husband John, Nancy and her husband John , and Louis and his wife Laurie. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren whom he adored: Sarah and her husband Lee, Becky and her husband Kevin, Katie, Michael, Brian and his wife Lindsay, Alexa and Megan. He was also blessed with four great-grandchildren, Ava, Lily, Jack and Red. He was predeceased by his grandson Matthew, sisters Ethel, Edith and Dolores and his brother Joseph. He is survived by his sister Grace. A longtime member of St. Anastasia Church, Lou provided countless hours of community service and counsel to those in need. The Patriarch of his loving family, he and Marie kept the family close, even when they were spread far and wide throughout the country. He always loved being surrounded by his family at Sunday dinners. He was a wonderful role model to his family as he lead by example with love, respect, honesty and integrity. All are invited to meet at St. Anastasia's RC Church, 1095 Teaneck Rd,, Teaneck, NJ at 10:45 AM for the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
