Maeve Geraghty 31 of Bogota, passed away February 9, 2023. Beloved daughter of Ciaran Geraghty and Cornelia Burns Geraghty. Dear sister of Quinn Geraghty, Cole Geraghty, Liam Geraghty and his wife Cristina Conte. Also survived by grandfather Thomas Geraghty and predeceased by her grandparents Joseph and Patricia Burns and grandmother Fiona Geraghty. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and relatives around the world. Maeve was born in New York City on June 21, 1991. She resided the majority of her life in Bogota, New Jersey. She graduated in 2009 from Bergen County Technical High School in Teterboro, New Jersey. Maeve earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology at Ramapo College of New Jersey. Maeve, was an avid dog and animal lover and most recently enjoyed working at United Service Dog Registration helping people gain emotional support pet certification. Maeve’s smile and positive spirit brought happiness to her coworkers at the Hilton Pearl River, where she worked many years. Maeve also spent a few years as a caretaker for her grandmother, Patricia Burns, which gave both of them great joy. Maeve loved music, art, Broadway, Phish concerts, her family and friends, traveling to Ireland and Cape May, and her dog Jasper. She was a talented writer and artist and could often be found belting her favorite songs with a bright smile on her face. She was incredibly proud of being the master of “The Office” trivia. Her free spirit, true happiness for other peoples’ successes, and beautiful smile will be cherished by all who knew and loved her. The family will receive friends Monday from 4-8pm at Petrik Funeral Home, Bogota. There will be a memorial service and celebration of Maeve's life on Tuesday, 11am at The Hilton, Pearl River, 500 Veterans Memorial Drive, Pearl River , NY 10965. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America or the ASPCA.
