Richard Conroy

Richard Conroy 89 of Bogota passed away March 16, 2023. Devoted husband of the late Dorothy for 63 years.  Beloved father of Bernadette Leighton, Cathy Ann Conroy, Richard, Jr., and Dorothea Forte. Predeceased by his brothers Marty, Jimmy, Jack and his sister Ann. Also survived by his 13 loving grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was an avid sports fan and loved the Giants, Yankees and Rangers. He loved coaching and taught his grandkids so much about sports. He was their biggest fan. Sometimes he traveled hours to attend their games. The funeral will leave Petrik Funeral Home, 140 Palisade Avenue, Bogota, Monday morning at 11:30 for the funeral Mass at St. Joseph’s RC Church, at noon. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, N. Arlington, NJ. Visiting Monday 10-11:30am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Bogota HS Athletic Hall of Fame would be appreciated.
