Richard Arthur Gil De Leon

Richard Arthur “Rick” Gil de Leon 85 of Bogota passed away peacefully at Holy Name Hospice Center on July 2, 2020, after a long illness. He was predeceased by his parents and his two loving daughters Margie and Elizabeth. Rick is survived by his wife of 46 years Rona and his four sons Richard, David, William and Robert. Also survived by his 19 loving grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Rick served our country in the US Navy during the Korean War on the USS Coral Sea. He was an active member of the Bogota VFW and American Legion and was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s RC Church, Bogota.  Visiting will be Monday from 3-8pm. The funeral will leave Petrik Funeral Home, 140 Palisade Avenue, Bogota, Tuesday at 10:30 for the funeral Mass at St. Joseph’s at 11. Cremation will be private. The family wishes to thank the wonderful and caring staff at Holy Name Hospice Center and in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Holy Name Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
