Rita E. Ryke

Rita E. Ryke, age 87, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2019.  She was born in St. Thomas, USVI and lived in Canarsie, Brooklyn for over 50 years, before moving to Bogota, NJ in 2017.

She had a love for flowers and lived a very outgoing and energetic life. Loving mother to Charlene, Ronald, Steven and Robert. Grandmother of Robert, Natasha, Cailen, Ryan, Ashley and Colin.  Great Grandmother to Devin and Dylan.

Survived by her sisters Beryl and Gwynneth, and predeceased by her siblings, Kenneth, Gene, and Carl and Marie.

Visiting hours are scheduled at Petrik Funeral Home, 140 Palisade Ave., Bogota, NJ on Thursday, August 15, 2019 from 3-5 PM and 7-9 PM. The Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, August 16, 2019 at 10 AM at St. Joseph’s R.C Church, in Bogota. The internment will be at Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery, Fair Lawn, NJ.
