Timothy K. Hesselink

Tim Hesselink 58 of Hackensack passed away February 22, 2022. Beloved husband of Nancy nee Price, son of the late Reverend Janice Hesselink and the Reverend Dr. Mark C. Hesselink.  He was loved by his brother Mark and his sisters Beth and Kristen, and their spouses Martha,  Steve and Harold.  He was loved and admired by his many nieces and nephews and their children  as well.  That love and admiration was returned ten thousand fold.  Tim had a heart full of gold! Tim was a chef/cook for Pomptonian Food Services and was employed in the Cliffside Park public schools.Tim loved his time spent in Maine, fishing and sailing. He and Nancy went there as often as possible. Tim was also a devoted Mets fan and had converted Nancy as well. They loved going to Citi Field. LET'S GO METS!  Tim was an accomplished tuba player and was a member of the Palisade Park Fire Department Band since his teenage years.  He also had a beautiful singing voice. He had a deep-rooted spirit of giving and sharing.  He loved his family above all and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Rest in peaceful splendour,  dear Tim.  We love you! Visiting hours will be Saturday from 1-7 pm at Petrik Funeral Home. There will be a funeral service at the funeral home Saturday at 5pm. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org) would be appreciated.
