Vincent G. Rocco

Vincent Gerard Rocco of Dumont, NJ, passed suddenly and peacefully at home.  He will be reunited with his parents, Julianna and Michael Rocco.  He is survived by his sister, Lori Capasso, and her husband, Frank, and by his brother, Eric Rocco and his wife, Kathleen.  He was a loving uncle to Michael Capasso, Connor Rocco, Brendan Rocco, Molly Rocco and Caroline Rocco. Vincent grew up and spent most of his life in Teaneck, New Jersey.  He graduated from Saint Cecelia’s High School in Englewood, N.J. He loved his work as a machine operator at Industrial Rivet company in Northvale, N.J. Vincent was a cherished friend to so many and a truly gentle soul.  He would go out of his way to lend a hand to anyone who needed help.  In his spare time, he visited lighthouses. He loved all things railroad and model trains and being near the water.  He especially enjoyed spending time with friends, bowling, dining out, watching the Yankees and Giants, and vacationing at Lake George and the Jersey Shore.  He had a green thumb and enjoyed his time gardening.   Vincent was truly loved by so many and will always be remembered for his kindness. Memorial visiting at Petrik Funeral Home, 140 Palisade Ave., Bogota on Saturday from 1-4 PM with a service at 3 PM.
