William Henry Goodwin, age 88, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2022. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he grew up in Teaneck, NJ and later resided in Brooklyn Heights, NY. He is survived by his daughters, Dawn Reich (Steven), Amanda Harris (Ken), grandchildren Rebecca, Nicole and Jacob Reich, Isabella and Lillian Harris, brothers Donald of Teaneck, NJ, Robert (Rita) of Manahawkin, NJ, and 17 favorite nieces and nephews and dear friends. Predeceased by sisters Patricia and Kathryn (Jean). William served honorably in the U.S. Army. After completing his undergraduate studies and receiving a master’s degree from Adelphi, his career path led him to many consulting positions.
He enjoyed organizing activities, such as canoe trips on the Delaware River and hiking/walking tours for groups. His passion for people is evident whereby he dedicated much time to assist in any way he could to the homeless shelter in Brooklyn. He will be remembered by all for his leadership and quick, subtle humor and his famous good-bye, "be well". In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, PO Box #50, Memphis, Tenn. 38101-9929. All will gather at St. Anastasia RC Church 1095 Teaneck Rd. on Friday January 28th at 10:45 AM for the memorial mass at 11 AM.
